Already finishing my first week as a doctoral student. I’m excited and ready for the challenge!
First, an initial schedule of progress was defined on a weekly basis and initial tools were chosen: Carla Sim 0.915 is now installed and running on a AMD threadripper 2950X/64gb RAM/Nvidia RTX 2080ti PC on Ubuntu 22.04. (I used the recommended Docker method).
I started the introduction to the field of end-to-end navigation for autonomous vehicles with recommended works of Sergio Paniego (End-to-end Vision-based Autonomous Driving using Deep Learning - PhD thesis) and William Escobar (End-to-End Deep Learning Approach for Comprehensive Autonomous Driving in Simulated Environments - Conference paper).
